My first Kickstarter and I really wanted to like this but the gameplay just is not there. The Art is great and the quality of the cards is excellent, but the actually gameplay is really lacking.
Pro's
- Excellent old school artwork
- Physical quality of the cards is excellent
Con's
- User Support. As others in the Kickstart comment section have mentioned, the designer does not reply to emails and the comments section is one long list of people asking why they have not received their copies yet.
- Directions? No Directions are included in the game. No Directions are on the website. No links to the directions on the sites website. I finally found a copy on a site called RPG Drive through, but that was only after a lot of searching on Google.
- The Actual gameplay is lackluster.
- Way to easy. I think I lost 1 of 8 hit points before completed the deck.
- No replay value. Unlike similar games, for this one you go through almost every single card in your playthrough, so you will never see anything different. With only 52 cards this sounds impressive, but many of the cards are basic items so the number of interesting events is very small.
- A new game mechanic in the cards is called a threat token. What is this? How is it used? No answer in the directions or on the YoutTube directions.
