In 1906 William Janson Roche decided to make a card game. With a custom set of cards with either miles, hazards, or remedies, you attempt to play a set number of mile cards before your opponent does. Player either as a two player game or four people with two teams.
This game would have multiple releases and reskins through the years with the most recent and one that I'm most familiar with being Mille Bornes.
This is the "revised" version from 1947. No gameplay changes but updates to the number of miles and the images on the card reflect more modern cards.

Another game that's difficult to say it's bad because it's the first of it's type. With two players the game is can really drag with too many hazards and not enough Go cards. This is easily dealt with by removing one of each of the hazards, but it's strange that the original design leads to so much just sitting around. In truth the more recent version Mille Bornes suffers a similar problem and I only recommend it with 4 people each on a team of two. I'm unsure if this older version would play better similarly.

It was fine for the games of the time. Not particularly fun, now, but it's good for a laugh and sharing with others to play once.
