Cost:

Who wants to hear about a trip if it's to expensive to go yourself? I've always hated travel shows that show you an incredible location and never mention the price, or the price mentioned doesn't include taxes or fees which can be up to 25% in some areas. Or worst of all is when you check the price for yourself you find that prices are ridiculous and only for the super rich. The prices below are after all taxes.

I'll have to guess a litle bit on the prices as I got my room as party of a conference deal. I'll go to the hotel website to get the best prices I can find at the moment.

Item Total
Plane $316
Hotel $1535
Uber $30
Season Pass $305

Total $2,186

--------------------------------------------------------
Plane:

Delta Air Lines

Basic and boring, but they had the flights from RDU to Orlando.

It was anoying to wake up to take the 8:00am flight from Raleigh, but worth it as the plane landed in Orlando at 9:55am, giving plenty of time to transfer to the hotel and still have time for food, and then to spend the evening in the park.

--------------------------------------------------------
Hotels:

The Loews Royal Pacific Resort. No options on my part, as that was the hotel sponsored by the conference.

Not a cheap place at $307 a night after tax.

A nice hotel, and I have no complaints. It's location is extremely convenient to both parks. It also includes a "fast pass" to the parks each day. During the time I went this was only a small benefit as the lines were extremely small, but this could be a major benefit during other times.

Rental Car:

Since I was not going to be driving at all, Uber was the way to go.

Park Tickets

The most difficult decision of the trip.

Options for ticket packages are legion, and each have pros and cons. In the end, I knew I was only going to the parks a few hours each night after the day's conference so I need the best price for 5 days.

Standard park prices are $125 a day, and the conference was offering a "special half day rate" at a discount of $70 a night. The park was offering a discount of a 5 day park at $65 a day which was good, but I found that a 1 year season pass was only $325 after tax which made it $65 a day with more options.
