I wanted to get out of Raleigh for a bit, but didn't want to think to hard on where to go. After thinking a bit I remembered that I kept seeing this condo complex in Sugar Mountain NC. It seems the condos are called "Sugar Top", and there are many available from VBRO. While surfing I stumbled on this one and was hooked.
I was hoping that the pictures would do it justice, and I was not let down. This place is incredible and is well worth your time and money. (This is also one of the cases where my photos do not do it justice, so I'm going to shameless copy the photos from the advertizement in case they ever stop renting it.)

While the room was the main draw, I couldn't go to Sugar without a few other stops. Notably some short hikes, Grandfather Mt, and even a bit of shopping at Blowing Rock. Any store that is a combination "Ice Cream and Hot Sauce" shop is just something you have to stop and take a look at.
